One of my favorite antiviral combinations is the use of elderberry and propolis.
Viruses are responsible for colds and flus, which in some cases affects the majority of the population. Billions of dollars are spent on over-the-counter cold and flu medications and flu shots, which have limited success. Hundreds of thousands of days nationally are non-productive due to colds and flus. Sometimes, half the classroom is empty because of colds and flus.
When it comes to the flu shot, it’s a guessing game. They try to get the flu shots ready for the flu season not knowing which strain of virus is going to cause the flu that year. It doesn’t make any difference what flu or virus strain is active to the effects of elderberry and propolis. Elderberry is like a barrier blocking the uptake of the virus into the cellular level and resisting its effect.
Propolis is a multi-antimicrobial which kills viruses, bacteria, candida, and fungus. Look for a freeze-dried elderberry which retains 100 percent of its active components. All of the forms of drying the berry causes nutrient loss from 35 to 75 percent. The most clinically studied propolis is from Germany called Propolis GH2002.
