Live Longer and Healthier with Olive Oil

Health and diet data was collected from over 90,000 men and women for almost 30 years.

All participants were healthy and free of heart disease and cancer at the start of the study.

Results: Participants with the highest daily intake of olive oil had a 20% reduction in death from heart disease.

•17% reduction in death from cancer

•30% reduction in risk of death from Alzheimer’s or other diseases of the brain

•18% reduction in risk of death from respiratory diseases

Replacing 10 grams (about 2.5 teaspoons) of margarine daily with the equivalent amount of olive oil was associated with up to a 34% reduction in risk of death from any cause!
