Do you experience bloating and gas after eating?
As we age, we notice our body slows down in our various activities. We don’t run as fast as we did 30 or 40 years ago. Our minds are not as sharp as they were 20 or 30 years ago. Aging should be a healthy process. It’s inevitable, but we should experience a better quality of life as we age. Of course, the digestive system can also be found to slow down over time. We may not digest as well because we do not secrete the level of enzymes as someone half our age.
We need an enzyme called protease to break down protein, amylase to break down carbohydrates and lipase to break down fats. If one or more of these enzymes are supplied in an insufficient quantity, our foods do not digest and, therefore, we have gas, indigestion, a heavy feeling after eating, foul smelling stool, and even dislike eating heavy foods such as animal proteins. Taking these enzymes will eliminate the majority of these symptoms with better digestion.
