Many scientific studies have found that the herb andrographis kills cancer cells.

Now, researchers at City of Hope have found that andrographis can also kill cancer “super cells” –cancer cells resistant to chemotherapy.

The researchers tested a standard chemotherapy drug –5FU, alone and in combination with andrographis three ways.

–In cells from human colorectal cancer, the combination was better at killing cancer cells than chemotherapy alone

–In animal tissue, andrographis and 5FU were more potent together than 5FU alone.

–In tissue grown from human colorectal tumors, the combination was much more effective at killing cancer cells –including  chemotherapy resistant cancer cells –than 5FU by itself.
