The risk of taking an aspirin a day?
In a recent study of seventy thousand participants taking aspirin to prevent cardiovascular disease, researchers discovered that taking aspirin causes more harm than benefit and actually was a threat to life. In people without cardiovascular disease, aspirin offers no additional benefits. And taking it regularly can lead to brain and gastrointestinal bleeding. The risk can be life threatening and far outweighs the potential benefit in terms of prevention. The safer more effective action is to toss the pills out and focus on lifestyle modifications. The researchers concluded the best thing to do is to rely on a healthy lifestyle choices of seafood, olive oil, fruits and vegetables, dairy, nuts, seeds, and berries which could reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by eighty percent.
