Sugar is slowly killing you!!

The fact that natural fats, whether animal or plant, are bad for us has never been proven scientifically. The harmful effects of fats started off as an opinion of one well respected doctor. Yes, just one doctor, but when an opinion is accepted universally, it becomes truth. It seems no one wanted to go against an established opinion by one highly respected doctor. So, the medical sheep all fell in line without questioning the opinion.

When fats were maligned with a smear campaign, food manufacturers jumped on board to not be left behind and offered American consumers packaged foods loaded with refined and processed white flour and sugar. Grains, wheat, rye, barley, and others were offered as heart healthy in place of fats. However, take a look at the bodies of Americans and note how fat most Americans are today after 60-70 years of carbohydrates (carbs) being hailed as healthy.  The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends that carbohydrates make up 45 to 65 percent of your total daily calories. So, if you get 2,000 calories a day, between 900 and 1,300 calories should be from carbohydrates. That translates to between 225 and 325 grams of carbohydrates a day. I would say that for many Americans, this is conservative. I have seen statistics that the American diet is primarily carbohydrates and as high as 70-80 percent of the diet contains carbs. The high level of carbs, starch, and sugar creates an increase release of insulin, a hormone that drives sugar into the cells. But, too much sugar means too much insulin being released causing fat storage in the form of belly fat and an increase of a growth protein that fuels the growth of cancer cells. (Nutrition, insulin, IGF-1 metabolism, and cancer risk: a summary of epidemiological evidence.)

Our American diet is disastrous, laden with many metabolic disorders; Diabetes Type 2, Alzheimer’s disease, Arthritis, obesity, heart disease, and even cancer, primarily caused by the excessive consumption of sugar and carbohydrates. Yet, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetic Association endorses and approves the high carb diet. The American Cancer Society recommends a diet of “whatever tastes good”.  That’s why Americans are sick and confused as to what constitutes a healthy diet. The U.S. Government, FDA, and our medical associations have failed to provide accurate, nutritional recommendations for good health.

Drug companies and food manufacturers are the drivers that dictate how Americans eat and live. The current Standard American Diet (SAD) is also the cause of 98 percent of all our diseases which are then treated with drugs. The motive is money and greed, not nutrition.

All carbs, sugar, and starch (potatoes, French fries) that are NOT burned as fuel are stored in the body as fat.

Our bodies require essential amino acids that are obtained from proteins. We also require essential fatty acids from natural fats including animal fats. We cannot live without proteins and natural fats.

However, we can live without carbohydrates as there are NO essential carbs required for good health.  Just to make sure we are all on the same page, that means drastically restrict carbs that are found in all grains, oatmeal, pasta, bread, cookies, pie, cakes, crackers, muffins, fruit, fruit juice, soda, and just about everything Americans are eating today.

I would highly suggest you read GRAIN BRAIN by Dr. David Perlmutter. Also read WHEAT BELLY by Dr. William Davis.

I have met hundreds of people who were suffering with illnesses and on dozens of drugs that just changed their diet and are now well and healthy.

Food is your primary medicine, NOT drugs!!!! Change your diet and change your health!
