Whenever a doctor prescribes a medication for whatever reason, why not ask if there is a natural alternative?  One of my loyal listeners said that this is something she always does when she visits her physician.  The common comment from the nurse or doctor is that, “we’re not aware of one but if you find something that works let us know”.  Maybe this is a good way to educate your doctor.
